Hi everyone! Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Chanel Les Beige Healthy Glow Foundation ~~ 🙂

Before we start, just thought it will be useful to let you know my *skin type! I’ve oily skin, tilted towards combination skin type, with flaky dry skin on my nose at times. If you need more details on my skin type for your own reference, feel free to drop me a comment down below!

Ok, let’s just started, shall we? 😀

CLAIMS:

This foundation claims to be suitable for ALL skin types. The Les Beige range aims to provide a healthy “no-makeup” glow to the skin.

MY THOUGHTS:

In terms of performance, I find it pretty suitable for my skin type (*description above). It does not feel heavy on my skin when first applied. It has a velvety finish, definitely not dewy. It doesn’t melt/smear off when I perspire. My face starts to feel oily after a good long day, approx. 8 hours on average (with setting powder). It depends a lot on where you are headed as well. I find that it can clog pores if you wear this foundation for a long period of time (more than 8 hours). But it’s a foundation, so I find it’s quite common. If you want something lighter, opt for a BB Cream instead!

In terms of coverage, I would say it has a medium coverage. It’s buildable, but I wouldn’t recommend over-applying if you have oily skin. Once your skin start to turn oily, your foundation can look too cakey (too thick). It can cover up some blemishes but you will still need a concealer to cover it up (but the coverage is still relatively better than a BB cushion). I find that it can cover my pores very well. It also does not emphasize them after a long day. It does not settle into the fine lines under my eyes and does not oxidize as well (much/negligible significance).

I am using shade N20 Beige – it has a yellow undertone (BUT not that yellow. I find that it has a neutral undertone.

I tried the other pink tone neutral shade, which I can’t remember (Ooops, sorry?) and it works well on me too. Just for your reference, I am using Urban Decay Naked Skin Powder Foundation in Fair Cool and Naked Skin Concealer in Fair Neutral for my blemishes, and shade 21 Beige for Laneige Pore Control BB Cushion.

In terms of packaging, it is a glass bottle, heavy and sturdy. It comes with a pump, so definitely very hygienic (Great for those who are more concerned about this). It definitely looks very luxurious too.

Overall, I would definitely recommend you to give this a shot if you are looking for a new medium coverage foundation or if you have oily skin (but not for those extremely oily skin). I think people with normal skin type will definitely enjoy this a lot. If you have dry skin, I am not too sure if you will enjoy this as well, as it might look too dull (does not have a dewy finish). I guess it really depends on the finish you are looking for 🙂 Oh, just one more thing to note is that it has a strong fragrance. If you do not like foundations with a strong scent or have very sensitive skin, then you probably would wanna skip this. The scent does not bother me at all, you can’t smell it once it is on your face.

I have used this foundation in one of my makeup tutorials, click here to WATCH 😀 And don’t forget to give it a THUMBS UP and SUBSCRIBE 😀
