Hi guys! I’m back with a review for you guys ~~
Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on Neutrogena’s latest Deep Clean Cleansing Oil-to Foam. If you have been following me on Instagram (@beautywithcal), you would have seen me mentioning about this…**If you haven’t, please follow me ok…? :D**
Anyway, I have been testing this cleanser for over 3 weeks now and will be revealing my thoughts about it shortly. But before that, let me introduce these cleansers to you first!
Owing to the ever-growing beauty industry in South Korea, Neutrogena has specially formulated these Deep Clean Cleansing Oil-to Foam that provides effective cleansing for busy women. It is basically a dual cleansing product that effectively removes makeup on your face [OIL] and by gently massaging it, it transforms into FOAM to remove any leftover impurities on your face.
The cleansing oil acts like a magnet, where it draws out all makeup and dirt. By gently massaging your face, the oil dissolves the makeup, and slowly transforms into soft foam upon contact with water. The soft foam acts like a regular cleanser by removing any impurities left on your skin. With a pH value of 5.5, this formula is gentle on the skin and claims to be suitable for sensitive skin too.
These cleansers also contain oleifera leaf extract, a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and astringent properties that protects against free radicals and preserves the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
These cleansers come in 3 types – Brightening (red), Normal Skin (blue) and Dry Skin (green).
Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil-to-Foam (Dull Skin): It contains ingredients extracted from mulberries to reveal the skin’s natural radiance. Rich in Vitamin C and B3, the mulberry extract brightens dull skin.
Deep Clean Cleansing Oil-to-Foam (Normal Skin): It is enhanced with rosemary extract that refreshes and soothes skin, keeping your skin oil-water levels balanced.
Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil-to-Foam (Dry Skin): It contains cucumber extracts that has proven hydrating properties, helping dry skin stay soft and moisturized.
Additional Information: These products are non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested.
HOW TO USE: Pump (once) cleansing oil onto clean hands and apply to dry face. Slowly massage oil onto face in a gentle and circular motion. Add a small amount of water to lather into a foam. Slowly massage foam all over your face. And just rinse off with water thoroughly.
Here’s my little experiment for you guys
Due to my skin type, I have only tried the Deep Clean Cleansing Oil-to-Foam (Normal Skin) so far. Just so you know, I have oily skin, tilted towards combination skin. Personally, I would have preferred if they came out with one specially for oily skin. But nonetheless, the one for normal skin seems to work fine for me too. It does not leave my skin feeling tight or dry, which is good because it means the good moisture is intact with my skin. It also did not leave my skin feeling oily (since this product is for normal skin), which I guess it’s a good thing too.
In terms of performance wise, it does removes my makeup well but in my opinion, it was unable to remove my waterproof mascara (Heroine Volume & Curl Mascara, P.S This also means the mascara is super waterproof!). This does not reflect any negative notion on the products. I am here, in my opinion to share how to best use this cleanser. Having said that, if you do not use waterproof mascara or liquid lipstick, this Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil-to-Foam will be perfect for you! Even if you prefer to use waterproof mascara or liquid lipstick, just simply take an extra step by using a makeup remover wipe!
In terms of price, it costs SGD30.90 for 142ml. I think this price is fairly decent for a drugstore brand plus you get quite a lot of product here too. It is also easily available at Guardian, Watsons and selected NTUC FairPrice outlets.
Overall, this product is effective and super convenient for those who are lazy or busy. Personally, I would recommend using a gentle makeup remover wipe (Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets, review here) to remove your waterproof eye makeup and rest of your makeup before using this cleanser. Just these 2 steps will be able to remove all of your makeup effectively and efficiently. I would also say this product is perfect for traveling, since I would always prefer to travel light and the bottle is sturdy:) It comes with a pump and cap, so you don’t need to worry if it leaks or unhygienic or anything like that.
And that’s it for today’s review. I hope this post is able to provide some enlightenment for you beauties, and till then, I’ll be back for more reviews! Scroll down to read more of my other reviews, ya! 🙂
